Last updated: April 15, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Legion100.ca platform. By using this website, submitting information, or participating in services provided through Legion100.ca, you agree to these terms.

Legion100 is a communications and operational support platform and does not replace official Legion governance, decision-making, or formal notices unless explicitly authorized.

The platform operates as an independent service and is not a fundraising or sponsorship system for any Branch.

Purpose of the Platform

Legion100.ca is designed to support:

  • Legion branches
  • Volunteers, staff, and committee members
  • Branch executives and administrators
  • Members of the public who choose to receive Legion-related updates

The platform provides a structured environment to improve communication, coordination, continuity, and access to information related to Legion activities and programs.

Platform configuration may be adapted to meet the needs of individual branches.

Platform Nature and Access

Legion100.ca is not a public forum, open social media platform, or general-purpose marketing service.

The platform operates as a structured, role-based environment primarily intended for internal branch operations and controlled community engagement.

Limited public access may be provided within defined areas, such as informational sections or selected community spaces. Access, visibility, and participation are controlled and may vary by user role or branch configuration.

Public Users and Communications

Members of the public may subscribe to receive updates by selecting areas of interest.

By subscribing, you acknowledge that:

  • Communications are sent based on selected preferences
  • Preferences are managed using internal categorization systems
  • Messages are informational and related to Legion activities
  • Communication frequency is managed to remain relevant and respectful

You may update your preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

Legion-Affiliated Users and Role-Based Access

Legion-affiliated users may be granted access to features such as:

  • Committee coordination tools
  • Scheduling and volunteer & staff management
  • Internal communications
  • Document and training resources
  • Community spaces

Access is permission-based and limited to assigned roles. Users are responsible for respecting access boundaries.

Branch administrators manage user roles and permissions within their branch environment.

Optional Features and Participation

Legion100 may offer optional features that allow individuals to further engage with the platform.

These may include services such as Legion100 email identities (e.g., firstname.lastname@legion100.ca), which provide a way for individuals to identify with and support the broader initiative.

Participation in such features is entirely optional and is not required for Legion membership, volunteer & staff participation, or access to core platform functionality.

Advertising and Platform Funding

Legion100 operates as an independently funded platform.

The platform does not conduct fundraising on behalf of any Branch.

Funding is generated through limited advertising placements and optional paid features.

This model allows the platform to operate without requiring donations, sponsorships, or financial involvement from the Branch.

Advertising on the platform:

  • Is independently managed by Legion100.ca
  • Is limited in scope and structured in placement
  • Does not constitute endorsement by any Legion branch
  • Is not controlled, sold, or administered by the Legion

The Legion is not involved in revenue-generating activities and is not financially responsible for the operation of the platform.

Acceptable Use

Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Use the platform for its intended purposes
  • Respect role-based access controls
  • Avoid misuse of communication or system tools

Legion100.ca reserves the right to restrict or revoke access in cases of misuse or unauthorized activity.

Communications Model

Legion100 operates as an outbound communications system:

  • Messages are sent from the system but are not received into it
  • Replies are directed to designated branch-controlled email addresses
  • Messages are delivered individually, even when sent to groups
  • Recipient information is not shared between users

This structure is designed to maintain clarity, privacy, and accountability.
