These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Legion100.ca platform. By accessing this website, submitting information, subscribing to communications, or participating in services provided through Legion100.ca, you agree to these Terms.
Legion100 is an independently operated communications, operations, and community-support platform. It is intended to support participating Legion Branches through improved communication, coordination, continuity, and information management.
Legion100 does not replace Branch governance, decision-making authority, official notices, policies, bylaws, or organizational responsibilities.
Purpose of the Platform
Legion100.ca is designed to support:
• Participating Legion Branches
• Volunteers, staff, committee members, and coordinators
• Branch executives and administrators
• Members who choose to receive updates and information
• Individuals who participate in Branch-related programs, activities, and community initiatives
The platform provides structured tools and services intended to improve communication, coordination, continuity, and access to information.
Platform configuration may vary between participating Branches to support local operational requirements.
Independent Platform
Legion100 is independently owned and operated.
Participation by a Branch, volunteer, staff member, committee member, executive, or user does not create an ownership, governance, employment, agency, partnership, or operational relationship between Legion100 and any participating Branch, Provincial Command, Dominion Command, or other Legion entity.
Platform Nature and Access
Legion100.ca is not a public forum, unrestricted social media platform, or general-purpose marketing service.
The platform operates as a structured environment intended to support communication, coordination, community participation, and operational continuity.
Certain areas of the platform may be accessible only to authorized users.
Access, visibility, participation, and available features may vary based on role, permissions, and Branch configuration.
Public Users and Communications
Members of the public may subscribe to receive information or updates based on selected interests.
By subscribing, you acknowledge that:
• Communications are delivered based on selected preferences
• Preferences may be managed through internal categorization systems
• Communications are informational in nature
• Communication frequency is managed to remain relevant and respectful
• Preferences may be updated or withdrawn at any time
Legion-Affiliated Users and Role-Based Access
Authorized users may be granted access to features such as:
• Committee and working-group spaces
• Scheduling and coordination tools
• Internal communications
• Community environments
• Training and reference materials
• Operational resources
Access is role-based and limited to authorized users.
Users are responsible for respecting assigned permissions and access boundaries.
Advertising and Platform Funding
Legion100 operates as an independently funded platform.
Funding may be generated through:
• Limited advertising placements
• Optional platform-related services
• Other lawful revenue sources that support platform operation
Legion100 does not conduct fundraising on behalf of participating Branches.
Advertising:
• Is independently managed by Legion100
• Remains separate from Branch fundraising activities
• Does not constitute endorsement by participating Branches
• Is not managed or administered by participating Branches
• Does not involve Branch financial responsibility for platform operations
Participation by advertisers does not imply endorsement by participating Branches, Provincial Commands, Dominion Command, or other Legion entities.
Acceptable Use
Users agree to:
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Use the platform only for intended purposes
• Respect user permissions and role-based access
• Maintain the privacy of information available to them
• Avoid misuse of communication, scheduling, or operational tools
Users may not:
• Attempt unauthorized access
• Interfere with platform operation
• Distribute malicious content
• Use the platform for unlawful purposes
• Misrepresent their identity or authority
Legion100 reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or revoke access where misuse, abuse, or unauthorized activity occurs.
Communications
Legion100 supports structured communications between participating Branches and users.
Communications may include:
• Event information
• Program updates
• Volunteer opportunities
• Operational notices
• Community information
• Platform-related announcements
Messages may be delivered through email, SMS, or other approved communication methods.
Recipients may update preferences or unsubscribe where applicable.
Accuracy of Information
Legion100 makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and current information.
However:
• Information may change without notice
• Events and schedules may be modified or cancelled
• Operational information may be updated
• No guarantee is made regarding completeness, accuracy, or timeliness
Users remain responsible for confirming important information where necessary.
Branch Responsibilities
Each participating Branch remains independently responsible for:
• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Governance and decision-making
• Financial management and reporting
• Volunteer, staff, and committee oversight
• Operational activities conducted under Branch authority
Legion100 does not:
• Govern Branch operations
• Control Branch finances
• Make decisions on behalf of a Branch
• Act as an agent or representative of a Branch
• Replace applicable governance requirements
Use of the platform does not alter the legal responsibilities of Branch leadership, officers, volunteers, staff, or governing bodies.
Intellectual Property
Legion100.ca, including its platform structure, design, branding, content, documentation, and original materials, remains the property of Legion100 unless otherwise stated.
Content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or republished without permission.
No Official Affiliation
Legion100 is independently developed and operated.
Use of the term “Legion” reflects the community and service environment for which the platform was originally designed.
No official affiliation, endorsement, partnership, governance relationship, or operational authority is implied unless expressly stated in writing.
Data Ownership and Branch Control
Participating Branches retain ownership and control of Branch-specific information entered into the platform.
Legion100 provides tools, infrastructure, and operational support but does not claim ownership of Branch-controlled data.
Branch administrators remain responsible for:
• User access management
• Information accuracy
• Local operational use
• Permission management
Data export or transition support may be provided where appropriate.
Limitation of Liability
Legion100.ca is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legion100 shall not be liable for:
• Service interruptions
• Delayed or missed communications
• Scheduling conflicts or operational outcomes
• User decisions based on platform information
• Unauthorized access resulting from user actions
• Data loss caused by events beyond reasonable control
Use of the platform is at the user’s own risk.
System Availability and Changes
Legion100 strives to maintain reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Features, functionality, services, and capabilities may evolve over time.
Legion100 reserves the right to modify, enhance, suspend, or discontinue features as required.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically.
Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the platform following publication of updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
